The page is now a mess

[edit]

This page is now a mess. It is completely fixated on the just-past election whereas before it had general and historical information. It needs to start by saying what the 5th district is (location, cities and counties contained therein, demographics). Then after the intro it should have more information about the district, including historical electoral information, and perhaps at the end can have detailed information about particular elections. --Strait 01:11, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

While the page does need a lot of work, it is important to remember that this is not the 5th district page (there is a seperate page for that), it is dedicated primarily to the 2006 5 CD election. That should be kept in mind when editing.--User:Dlz28 06:39, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies for not making it clearer that the article is very much in transition, and is part of a new wikiproject to write good articles on about 100 congressional races. I'm working on a template to put on article pages to make that clear. John Broughton | Talk
Aha. I had not realized that this was the election 2006 page, since the page starts with "Minnesota's 5th congressional district" in bold. This is perhaps one of the bigger problems with the article right now: it needs to start by making it clear what the article is about. --Strait 17:51, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
