Combination

[edit]

This is the only article, for the 34 U.S. Senate elections in 2006, where the Senate race and the races for the House of Representatives have been combined.

U.S. Senate information

[edit]

Not seeing any particular reason why the Maryland election for U.S. Senate should be treated any differently than the 33 other Senate elections, I propose to pull out the material related to the Senate race and put it into another, separate article. If there are good arguments why I should not do this, I'd like to hear them within the next few days. John Broughton 21:47, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff Stein

[edit]

Hey, what happened to the mention of Jeff Stein? Do we fail to mention candidates who aren't in league with big business? --Jgpgmdusa 02:39, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the politics1 website, you'll see that a lot of of other candidates are also omitted from the list. My sense is that no one cares whether this article is kept up-to-date. John Broughton 13:49, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I find this page lacking

[edit]

OK I set up a page for an 8th district challenger, Daniel Zubairi, ignore it for a month and poof.

I hate to tell our European deletion fanatics (I looked up who deleted my page) that who challenges a candidate is interesting. Some folks like to look back and see the history of a district - with a little detail, not just "Mr. X" challenged the incumbent.

Of course the apparent tendency to only allow incumbents a full page spread might open Wikipedia up to some questions from the FEC. But that’s for the lawyers to decide.

FYI - I think Jeff is a lawyer - but you wouldn't know that because someone deleted his page too.
