Googling shows flights I have marked as dubious either past or non-existent. http://space.skyrocket.de (see Planned Launches 2008) conflicts with two other sources in references: http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/launches/launch_schedule.html and http://spaceflightnow.com/tracking/index.html --Quellem (talk) 21:02, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Space.com schedule is painfully incomplete and out of date in places, as is SFN. None of the schedules are 100% there. I have cross-referenced the most reliable/up-to-date ones, and updated information in the rare cases where it is neccessary to do so. None of the flights you have listed have already been conducted, and you fail to provide a source to support your argument that they have been. I have cited all the launches which you dispute, and would appreciate it if you could now remove your tags. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 21:55, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I have deleted the templates. I should wait until my knowledge and metaknowledge in the area of spaceflight becomes stronger. --Quellem (talk) 15:14, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate you picking these up. A lot of the information in this article is based on speculation, so it is good for someone to point out instances of this. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 15:47, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

You have a very nice list here. However, ideally, every entry should have at least one reference on it - see e.g. List of space telescopes. This shouldn't be that hard to do for entries added or modified in the future: surely you're getting your information from somewhere, so why not say where? If everything is referenced, then at the end of the year (once the list is stable) you could go for Featured List status... Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 08:07, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes it is hard to reference the future launches, but there is no excuse for not referencing past launches. It should be done, and I will get onto it. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 08:18, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

L-25

[edit]

Aparrently, NROL-25 has been delayed until at least 2009. Meus Nomen 10:39, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to the Dump. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 22:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Soyuz from Guiana Space Centre.

[edit]

Wasn't the Soyuz rocket suppose to launch from ELS, Guiana Space Centre in November 2008? Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 18:15, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why Starsem launches are not classed as International and Japanese ISS modules as Japanese? --Chech Explorer (talk) 19:08, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Starsem - see the discussion on the 2007 page. ISS modules are all part of an international project, and hence are all marked as international. Not just the Japanese ones. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 22:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is some discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Timeline of spaceflight regarding taking this page to WP:FLC. If you have any comments on this process, please make them there. Thanks. --GW 17:41, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Downing of faulty spy satellite by US Navy in February 2008

[edit]

Should this event not be in this article? - http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/space/02/18/satellite.intercept/index.html - Mr Accountable (talk) 17:18, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is. --GW 17:18, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thanks, right, I was just re-reading, I see it at February; I am not going to start up and try to help edit this very good article, but to me the downing of USA-193 seemed newsworthy and paragraph-worthy. No matter. Cheers. Mr Accountable (talk) 18:14, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • There are two sentences in the suborbital section of the lead. I think more would be good. If you want to go ahead and add it, I can always copyedit it for you afterwards. --GW 18:27, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
      • More would be good but I'll leave it be. If the USA 193 sentences were written to draw more attention (to the event), it would make for some enjoyable and interesting reading. However, the article has a quite a lot of well-organized data; drawing attention to this interesting and somewhat spectacular event seems to be beside the point. There's a picture there anyway; don't know why I missed it skimming through; not to mention, this discussion is part of a slashdot effect as the USA 193 is mentioned there today. (Call for the military to blast rogue satellite). Cheers again. Mr Accountable (talk) 18:42, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
