  • "the competition's inaugural edition was attended by over 110,000 people across the two days.[3]" Much like in the other review, I don't see the relevance of this.
  • "Portuguese outfit" Outfit means something entirely different to these American ears...
  • "The only goal of the game was scored by Felipe Melo," Who played for which team?
  • "The score ended 1–0;" I've read this paragraph a few times. It's totally unclear who won the game.
  • Talk about the matches in chronological order. This way is just confusing.
  • It's a summary of a pre-season tournament. IMO, there isn't a right or wrong way to go about reporting the action. The reason I changed it up was because I couldn't find differing/interesting info about the games, and when I wrote the summaries for the other cup editions it was tiring, repeating the same structure. Nevertheless, have tweaked this. Lemonade51 (talk) 21:23, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Yaya Sanogo was handed a chance to play up front for Arsenal" Handed? Kind of informal and meaningless.
  • "who made a mess of a chance in the 18th minute" Very informal language here.
  • What makes ref 5 reliable?

That's all for me. Courcelles (talk) 18:19, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Courcelles: thanks for taking this on. Have made corrections, hopefully to your liking. :) Lemonade51 (talk) 21:23, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
