August 2014 earthquake in Iran

[edit]

I have found information online indicating that there was another large earthquake in Iran in 2014. The earthquakes main shock had a magnitude of 6.2 and had 5 aftershocks, each with a magnitude greater than 5.4. The earthquake destroyed nearly half of the homes in eight different villages. It also cut water, electricity and phone lines in many of the surrounding cities as well as injuring nearly 250 people. This earthquake on August 18th, nearly two months before the October earthquake which was talked about on the original article. I am under the impression that their may have been a series of earthquakes in Iran during this time period. The reason that I am adding this information is to inform people that their was another more powerful and destructive earthquake in Iran in 2014. I am going to include the information I have found and set it up to allow any future editors to share information on any other earthquakes that may have occurred in Iran during this period.

Here are the links to the two articles that I have found useful [1] [2]
