Nowhatta Mob Lynching 2017Ayub Pandith mob lynching in Kashmir (2017) – to make the article/incidence more searchable by the victim's name which is better known in media and google search, than the current namespace containing the location name only, current namespace is not compliant with Wikipedia:Naming conventions (events). 2404:E800:E61E:452:D471:5875:B20A:9AD3 (talk) 21:20, 12 July 2017 (UTC) --Relisting.  — Amakuru (talk) 09:28, 19 July 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. • Title isn't even proper. Correct title will be "Mob lynching of Ayub Pandith" or "Lynching of Ayub Pandith". Adding year is not required, there is no similar article. But I think it' better that the title is "2017 Nowhatta lynching" or simply "Nowhatta lynching" as it hasn't happened before and is shorter. 103.40.199.182 (talk) 12:36, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • I support the name change of this article. Since this article was created by me in hurry and name was chosen by me as well. Yet i acknowledge that there should be the change of title for this article so that people looking for this event can find it easily. Lollitol (talk) 04:39, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the support. Since you are a registered user, please proceed to immediately rename the article to more appropriate name. You do not have to go by the name suggested by me. Pick anything you think is even better than my suggestion. Media uses his name as Ayub Pandith, better to include this name, year, etc.2404:E800:E61E:452:39FF:B761:23BA:A21D (talk) 03:46, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Amakuru: How to handle discussions like these? by {{relisting}}?
okay, relisting was a joke. But this is confusing. There is no clear support to any particular title, and the format of discussion is improper too. —usernamekiran(talk) 23:10, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Usernamekiran, actually I think relisting is a good idea here, so that's what I've done. There is no clear consensus either way, so another week of discussion would be helpful. I'ev also reformatted the various opinions into clearer bullet points, to make it easier to read what people were saying. Thanks!  — Amakuru (talk) 09:31, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a new user in Wikipedia. I'm deeply interested in this article. There is a need of adding more details about the arrests, Who were they? Why they were arrested? What happened to them. From my research I came up with this list. Why isn't these changes getting reflecting in the original page? Am I doing anything wrong? Zahidkhan.xee (talk) 11:31, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
