Mayor/regent list

[edit]

@Nyanardsan @Axl7Rose do you think we should include every city and regency, or just selected ones? From my experience in the 2018 Indonesian local elections article, even when all those places were listed it ended up being just abandoned after the election. Especially for races in more remote areas (e.g. Tual even as a city probably doesn't get as much coverage as, say, Tangerang Regency). Juxlos (talk) 11:35, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Juxlos I'm in favour of all cities listed because I believe with enough effort, we can fill them all up. I will try my best to fill it all, and as for Tual not getting much coverage for example, I know some Maluku-based newspapers and media where I can get news related to them (same case applies to all other cities). As cities are only 98 and cities are important within their own provinces, we should include them. Another reason I support inclusion of all cities would be to have exactly more coverage of those areas (I am certainly biased on this, since I have quite a liking towards East Indonesian regional/local politics, so I apologize and this reasoning can be ignored if it seems too biased).
For regenices, I would support case-by-case whether its important enough or not and then we can add it later as we go depends on whether we can find the result or not. Nyanardsan (talk) 11:44, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I will probably add a "overall summary" at the top of the section for the largest city races (i.e. ones with articles). Kind of like in the 2024 Turkish local elections#Key races. Juxlos (talk) 11:50, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
