What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

My mistake as I didn't check that the file is used here I requested speedy deletion of the redirect. -- Хрюша 14:23, 14 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chriusha (talkcontribs)

What about the original, naval version of this gun?

[edit]

Hi wikipedians, IMHO this article lacks a section about the original naval gun from which the railway gun was derived. I'm happy to give it a try, but lack relevant sources to use. Can anyone please help? Thanks, DPdH (talk) 03:01, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just noticed that the related article in the French Wikipedia has some useful material related to the naval version of this gun. Are there any issues or caveats that should be addressed if I use that material? Thanks & regards, DPdH (talk) 03:08, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For the complete translations rules see Wikipedia:Translation. A sort of tl;dr can be found within the Template:Expand language. --BjKa (talk) 11:24, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

in service

[edit]

The infobox currently just says 1918. I'm changing this to 1915-1918. I found a source claiming that the three guns before Verdun were installed during 1915, with two emplacements opening fire in February and the third becoming operational in September. --BjKa (talk) 11:24, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
