Through Peterborough to Norman Cross?

[edit]

Didn't the A16 go through Peterborough? In 1991 the A16 is described in an Statutory Instrument as "A16 Norman Cross-Grimsby Trunk Road" [1]. [SABRE http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/roadlists/f99/15.shtml] says it went through the centre of Market Deeping prior to the Deeping bypass opening. Did the A15 and A16 just swap numbers south of the Deepings, and if so, did this all happen when the Deeping bypass opened? Dupont Circle 14:26, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It must be a typo in ref [1]. The Norman Cross-Grimsby Trunk Road is and always was the A15, not the A16.

Tidy up

[edit]

Hello. BTW I have sorted outt the article, by adding subheadings, more content etc. However, there are still lots of sentences with citation needed tags. If you can, then could you please add references to the article, and let me know below? If nobody would like to, then I will do it in the new year. Thanks, Roads4117 (talk) 09:35, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
