Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (Many notable artists have performed at this arena. I don't see why this article should be deleted.) --Evangp (talk) 04:48, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the speedy deletion tag for the following reasons. Firstly, I think by listing notable performers who have performed at this arena, the author is at least attempting to assert notability. If that is not believed to be sufficient, WP:AFD is a more appropriate venue. Secondly, I think there is an important distinction between an article about an arena as a physical location where concerts have been performed, and an article about a company/corporation (such as a company that owns an arena). I do not believe CSD A7 applies to the former, and I do not believe that this article qualifies as the latter. --NickContact/Contribs 06:19, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
