1958 Aladdin

[edit]

(quote) "The imprint was established by Jean E. Karl in 1967, although there is a small amount of books which were probably published by Aladdin Paperbacks back in 1958, including "Annie Oakley" by Ellen Wilson."

Probably? There should be a certain example.
For Ellen Wilson, Annie Oakley, this source via Google Books says Bobbs-Merrill, 1958.
Atheneum (where Jean Karl founded Aladdin) was founded only in 1959. Any Aladdin brand in 1958 must be unrelated. So I revised simply to observe in the lead that there may be other uses in publishing.
By the way, do we know that Aladdin Paperbacks was the official name in 1967? --P64 (talk) 19:47, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
