Same Alex Klein as the conspiracy theorist?

[edit]

Is this the same Alex Klein who has become noted for spreading the most bizarre conspiracy theories and Russian propaganda? The name is quite common, but the conspiracy theorist Alex Klein has a link to a webpage of the oboe player Alex Klein. Not sure if they are the same, or if the conspiracy theorist uses the oboist for some sense of credibility for the propaganda. If they indeed are the same, that would seem somewhat notable. Maybe my Google account is very tame or something but I had to dig really hard to figure out what you were talking about ... here it is on X (formerly Twitter). Honestly I had to dig way harder than I did to make my recent edit to the article. It seems dramatically out-of-character to me; I found this perfectly normal interview with the oboist (in mainstream media!) from as recently as last year. I'm here because of my long-standing interest in sound files from Pandora Records (his are featured on his article). Graham87 (talk) 09:54, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This was him on Twitter in 2014 ... seems like the oboist, complete with tweets in Portuguese and one that I found about classical music, though I have no idea why the Wayback Machine displays Twitter's interface in German. Either he really has radicalised or his account's been taken over. Are there any reliable sources about the conspiracy theorist? Graham87 (talk) 10:15, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This August 2016 snapshot from the Wayback Machine shows that he hadn't been publicly active on Twitter since June 2013 and the Wayback Machine doesn't have any more recent snapshots of that account's Twitter profile until ten years later, when the account was well in to extreme pro-Russia mode and Musk and co. had well and truly taken over Twitter/X. just wow ... thanks Scholar-music for your edit to the article. Graham87 (talk) 20:31, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
