This section mentions Alex's appearance on Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends, and discusses him saying he was aoppearing on WCW for the first time.

After watching this episode myself, he's actually mentioning debuting a new gimmick, namely Berlyn. He doesn't use that name, instead saying the character is a "bad, mean guy" named Alexander Wright. That element of Weird Weekends was apparently shot in April 1999 (April 19th, to be exact, since it shows the Roddy Piper/Ric Flair mental hospital angle), and Berlyn didn't debut until May.

So were WCW sending people to Nitro 'just in case', with half-formed gimmicks? Elcondor (talk) 08:46, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
