Krusty vs Homer

[edit]

It certainly looks like Krusty to me and the press release suggests that it is, but does Superior have a reliable source that says otherwise? because that makes all the difference. The DominatorTalkEdits 05:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You know, you could simply warn me. I made an error checking, I assumed it was Homer after reading the caption. I have uploaded the image myself. Next time, don't make it seem like an argument.- Yours truly, [ S ] υ ρ є r ı o r reply! 01:00, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean warn you? As far as I knew, you could both have been right. I saw you add that it is Homer saying that you have sources then Scorpion reverting saying that it is Krusty, I was just reminding you all what we have talk pages for... The DominatorTalkEdits 02:54, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You can tell it's Krusty by the shape of the mouth. And what do you know, I was right. -- Scorpion0422 14:36, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
One minor disagreement does not require the use of talk pages, especially after I agreed. - Yours truly, [ S ] υ ρ є r ı o r reply! 01:00, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Breaking the 4th wall?

[edit]

I had to laugh (cringe?) when I read that Mel breaks the fourth wall while narrating. Narration is, by definition, breaking the fourth wall. The fourth wall refers to the hypothetical "Wall" between the audience and performers. Breaking the fourth wall is when the performer speaks directly to the audience. I think what was meant was that Mel is making reference to the commercial break. I'm not sure what the term for that is. four tildes — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.228.6.131 (talk) 05:24, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war

[edit]

Can we try to resolve the edit war that's been going on in this article since... wow. Last year? Most of the edits to the article are reverts of one another, with no real explanation for it.

The crux seems to be whether a paragraph in the plot section read

Later, Krusty discovers the network executives have hired Lisa to replace him, and have renamed it "The Lisa Show".

or

One evening Krusty is running late for a rehearsal, and the program directors offer Lisa the opportunity to fill in. Dressed in a clown outfit she performs Krusty's monologue, then when Krusty finally arrives he discovers the network has hired Lisa to replace him, and have renamed the show "The Lisa Show".

I don't personally care which is chosen, but am tired of seeing this article pop up with another revert or seven in The Simpsons Project Watchlist. I'm going to suggest a sentence that combines the brevity of the first version with the of specificity of the second:

Later, after arriving late to rehearsal, Krusty discovers the network executives have hired Lisa to replace him, and his show has been renamed "The Lisa Show".

Feel free to revert, but don't be afraid to discuss as well.
