what about the homonymic toast?

[edit]

Allah verdi is also a well-known toast in Caucasus and in Russia (Allaverdy, Аллаверды), from Turk. Allah verdi - Yakşi yol "- God has given - "Nice journey (?)" (according to other sources: Yakşi yoldi). The phrase gave rise to both the khan's name and the toast, or are they connected in any way? --R Camus 08:37, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Query: 'Allah Verdi' certainly is a statement or part of a statement or proverb as stated above, but is it a name too in fact? Isnt the name 'Ali Verdi' rather? 39.54.49.5 (talk) 16:00, 19 October 2012 (UTC)Hilda Khan[reply]
