Attkins

[edit]

Attkins didn't design the JLT, they barely have 3 projects out of over 100 main contracts!!! --Maha Odeh (talk) 11:04, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat says this building was completed in 2008.

[edit]

They awarded it 2nd place on a list for "tallest buildings completed in 2008". http://www.ctbuh.org/HighRiseInfo/TallestDatabase/TallestCompletedEachYear/TallestCompletedin2008/tabid/790/language/en-US/Default.aspx

That is odd because the main picture on the article shows that it is not fully clad - which is one of the criteria to be listed as being completed by CBTUH. It was topped out in 2008, but that was it. I am not sure if it is open or partially open. - Erebus555 (talk) 20:56, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In fact the tower was partially opened for business on 15 November 2008 when the Dubai Multi commodities Centre moved in (check the footnotes in the article). It's still not fully clad yet, so apparently being "open for business" is the most important criterion in CBTUH's view. Orionist (talk) 15:29, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
