Trade?

[edit]

There have been rumors that the Marlins could put Sanchez, along with Josh Johnson and other players, on the trading block when the deadline nears. Sanchez, considered a very good young pitcher, seems to lack the pitching dominance like pitchers like Johan Santana to record many strikeouts to some analysts and instead relies on popups and ocassionaly a strikeout to get the job done. There are worries that he could regress from his progress in 2006 when he had 2.83 era and 10 wins since the loss of joe giradi could hurt and now has to take on a full load with a new manager. It wasn't surprising , to some, that early in the 2006 season sanchez struglled considerably but had gotten advice from then manager joe giradi and pitching coaches and would decrease his era after the all star game and go on to win 10 games. If rookie center fielder alejandro de aza struggles and sanchez struggles also the trade could likely happen it just matters who would they trade.
