Don't call her Westcott!

[edit]

I have changed several instances in which someone referred to this woman as "Westcott", like it was her last name. There is a narrow, unhelpful sense in which this is legally true, but it is her owner's last name and the name of his plantation. Much more respectful and precise to use her given name. Nobody seems to have noticed that it's a beautiful name, it's Greek. "Ungoverned".

Was Mr. Westcott her father? deisenbe (talk) 12:55, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There should be an invisible comment with a source, to make sure no one changes it back. Also, I have now changed all instances of "Westcott" to "Anarcha", the opposite of what I did last time. The article should be consistent in referring to Anarcha, regardless of whether the article uses the last or first name. --Roundishtc) 13:22, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
