2 COI Requests

[edit]

Hello Wikipedia editors, Andrea Iervolino has hired me to request two updates to his Wikipedia page. The first update simply adds internal links and footnotes for the movie, Tell It Like a Woman. The second update adds two sentences about TaTaTu’s most-notable projects, as reported in reliable sources such as the Hollywood Reporter. I’ve declared my COI. Many thanks for your consideration.

1. Tell It Like a Woman

[edit]

a. The first sentence says that Andrea is a “producer of the Academy-nominated movie Tell It Like a Woman.” And the list in the “selected filmography” section includes Tell It Like a Woman. Should we add footnotes to support this fact? Here are two sources:

In 2021, the Hollywood Reporter said, “Producers of the film are Iervolino Entertainment founder Andrea Iervolino and co-owner Monika Bacardi, along with Chiara Tilesi and Lucas Akoskin.” In 2022, another reliable source, Deadline.com, confirmed that the “[p]roducers are Chiara Tilesi, Andrea Iervolino, Lucas Akoskin and Monika Bacardi.”

b. Also, should we link the words “Tell It Like a Woman” to the Wikipedia page for the movie?

2. TaTaTu

[edit]

The “career” section includes the following sentence:

In 2018, Iervolino launched TaTaTu, a entertainment platform with rewards for users watching and sharing content.[1]

TaTaTu was founded in 2018; since then, the company has drawn a lot of media coverage. Accordingly, here are two additional sentences that summarize its most-notable projects that Wikipedia readers will want to know about (I’ve included a footnote for each project, as well as internal links):

TaTaTu has co-financed and co-produced movies such as Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend[2] and Waiting for the Barbarians.[3] The company also hosts the Selena Gomez vodcast, Giving Back Generation.[4]

"Cryptocurrency"

[edit]

Many thanks to HouseBlaster picking up my previous COI requests. One thing: I see that HouseBlaster added the word “cryptocurrency” to the description of TaTaTu. Would it be possible to remove that word? While TaTaTu started as a crypto company in 2018, it is no longer involved in that space, as reflected in its latest media coverage. Here are a two articles – both from reliable sources — which attest to this fact. (Note: Don’t make the mistake, as I did, of assuming that “TTU Coins” has anything to do with crypto.) Thank you again.

1. “Iervolino’s social media and entertainment App TaTaTu has announced its intention to list on Euronext Growth Paris as of October 19. The innovative social media platform, which launched in 2018, rewards users for the value they help generate by spending time on the platform with TTU Coins” ("Andrea Iervolino Lists TaTaTu On Euronext; Gravitas Ventures Nabs ‘Shut Eye’; Attendance at Rome’s MIA Market Grows By 20%; Red Sea Film Festival Unveils First Titles – Global Briefs," Deadline Hollywood, October 2022).

2. “Iervolino ... is also the founder of innovative digital entertainment platform TaTaTu, a social media platform that uses a form of rewards points called TTU Coins” ("Italy’s Andrea Iervolino Teams With British Music Producer David Tickle on Turning London Food Market into Docuseries Set (EXCLUSIVE)," Variety, September 2022).

I am not going to reject this request because it involves undoing an edit I made, but I stand by my edit. Neither of the sources provided attest to the fact that TTU Coins are not cryptocurrency. Therefore, I do not see any evidence that the claims in reliable sources (e.g. [9]) are out-of-date. Additionally, it is currently listed on several cryptocurrency exchange websites ([10][11][12][13]). HouseBlastertalk 18:38, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for your speedy reply and such thorough research! I didn’t realize that TaTaTu was still listed on so many exchanges. Let me check to see if there’s anything that can be done to correct that — or, even better, to land a profile in a RS that clarifies what TTU Coins are and highlights the company’s evolution from cryptocurrency to social media. Thanks again. Best, BlueRoses13 (talk) 01:58, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Passing through to mark as addressed for now, can be reopened with additional information as discussed above. I am marking this request as addressed; to re-open it, remove the "|A" in the {{request edit}} template above. SpencerT•C 03:09, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @Spencer. Sounds good. Signed, BlueRoses13 (talk) 15:25, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
