Forthcoming stage adaptation

[edit]

I hope no one will misinterpret my addition of a reference to the stage adaptation of "Sandel" as advertising - I have no connection to the director or the promoters. I consider the fact of its forthcoming dramatisation worthy of mention because the book has been out of print for 40 years; moreover, the play is likely to kindle a heated public debate about whether literature can address this topic in a sympathetic way - as I assume the book did when published. Nationality

[edit]

I took the liberty of changing his nationality from "Scottish" to "British". I realise that not everyone will like the idea of British being a "nationality", (an arbitrary term anyway) but he has little claim to being Scottish other than a Scottish-born father, and his name. If the Wikipedia article is correct, he was born in Australia and spent most of his life in England. In fact, even his father spent most of his adult life living in England.
