Grade/Rank

[edit]

A French publication describes Antonio Maceo as being a major général. Which is the correct translation of this: major general, chief of staff, or deputy chief of staff? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.107.159.125 (talk) 07:36, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The standard of writing in this article is absolutely abysmal, and the selection of material—much of it apocryphal or idiocentric—rather pathetic. An extraordinary figure like Antonio Maceo deserves a more polished and accurate remembrance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.163.236.137 (talk) 18:37, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
