Turner thought Lamar High School should have been on the cover
[edit]From Turner p. 407:
- "One also wonders how, in a book of this sort, an illustration of the auditorium front of John F. Staub and Kenneth Franzheim's WPA moderne Lamar High School (Houston, 1937), which includes a colossal relief map of Texas, could be resisted-as a frontispiece if not the cover itself."
