The name Ashur-nadin-apli is mentioned as a proposed alternative for Ashur-nadin-ahhe II (or I) but the only king I see on the king list that bears that name lived after Assur-uballit I. (There is an Assur-uballit II but that is the very last king much much later.)

Is there an earlier Ashur-nadin-apli missing or what?? nl:Sokpopje 152.1.193.141 23:11, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Without dealing with the matter in detail about this little-known king, the question is whether ahhe is the correct reading of the cuneiform sign in the text EA 16, or if it could be read as apli. This is the only remark in the written sources about this diplomatic marriage. --JFK 14:14, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
