Slight differences in some instructions

[edit]

Is it worth noting that the earliest form of LPM only supported loading into r0, while later Mega cores allowed LPM into a larger set of registers? --Pfagerburg 02:33, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please help with programming fuse bits for ATMega 16

[edit]

I am using STK500 board and trying to interface ATMega16 with LCD. Please tell me which fuse bits shall i program. I am using PORTA for DATA, PortB for control, 4MHz crystal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Enhancegyan (talkcontribs) 10:55, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This sort of request is not appropriate to Wikipedia talk pages. Please visit www.avrfreaks.net for help with AVR programming. Dave (talk) 21:45, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Out of date?

[edit]

I noticed that nearly all of the AVR models listed here are very much out of date. The listed AT90S models are all discontinued, as are Tiny10, Tiny11, and the Megaxx3 models. Does someone want to take a shot at updating this page? Dave (talk) 21:45, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will take a stab at this in the near future. I want to leave the old chips in the table, even if the only sources now are grey-market ("New Old Stock"). You'll still run across these chips in various designs, where someone needs a feature added, a bug fixed, etc. so it's useful to have the reference for the old chips. The table has been updated, based on an Atmel AVR reference CD in my possession; I assume that every chip I listed can be verified on Atmel's web site easily. I probably am missing some of the newer chips, and will check the Atmel site against this list at some point in the future. Pfagerburg (talk) 04:01, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Very much out of date

[edit]

uC's such as the ATtiny20 are not listed. Their instruction set has some features of Classic (ICALL, IJMP), but not ADIW and others. In short, a new category. Other than individual part datasheets, I don't know where this info comes from. Searching part by part, instruction by instruction seems highly error-prone. I would think Atmel would be interested in keeping this accurate and updated, as it is needed to develop with their parts... 108.69.248.199 (talk) 18:28, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
