In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

The unaffiliated external links has been deleted, with the editor citing they fail to meet WP:EL. The links included certainly DO meet WP:EL - with particular reference to Wikipedia articles may include links to Web pages outside Wikipedia. Such pages could contain further research that is accurate and on-topic, and WP:EL#Links to be considered point 4 Sites which fail to meet criteria for reliable sources yet still contain information about the subject of the article from knowledgeable sources.

RS246 is an "owners club", and its website includes may official Audi technical documents. German Car Blog is an overview of the generations of RS models. The other four (RS-quattro.de, S-cars.org, Audi-Sport.net and TyreSmoke.net) are all highly and factually authoritative sites, with a mine of valid useful facts on these cars.

Therefore, all those external links do meet or exceed both comments. -- Teutonic_Tamer (talk to Teutonic_Tamer) 14:17, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've removed all but two links. S-cars.org and RS246 are the only ones where you can actually find links to articles about the cars - it would be preferable if the links went directly to "articles" sections and not to the main pages. GermanCarBlog merely links to an AutoBild article, RS-quattro.de is in German (if there are links in English, the non-English links are not needed), and Audi-Sport.net and TyreSmoket.net are set up exclusively as forums, so no actual "articles" section. --Pc13 (talk) 11:20, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"R" models

[edit]

Should this also have the Audi "R" models such as the Audi R8 - being as they are made by quattro GmbH, and are argueably on a par with RS models. 78.32.143.113 (talk) 11:36, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Audi or OEM?

[edit]

Are these vehicles made by Audi or by Audi's suppliers? 66.87.7.3 (talk) 18:01, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

AFAIK, the S cars are built by Audi alongside their other models; the RS cars (as the article states) are developed and built by the Audi subsidiary quattro GmbH. Letdorf (talk) 22:46, 30 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]
That's what the body of this article states... but the lead claims they are built by one of Audi's OEM suppliers. I think the lead is wrong. 66.87.2.218 (talk) 01:02, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
