[edit]This article needs a picture of the Indonesian Justice Minister rather than the President. Where/how can I get one that's copyright cleared? DavidYork71 11:33, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Does such a short article really need so many external links? Are they all valid according to WP:EL?? --Merbabu 13:32, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Removed section:Issues of Relevance to the Agreement
[edit]I've removed the following:
In respect of prisoners transfered:
- to what extent the continuance of punishments will be regulated by the law and procedure of the receiving judicial system
- whether and in what circumstances judicial review of sentences and/or convictions will be available in the receiving judicial system
- what minumum period of sentence is to be served before a prisoner becomes eligible for transfer
- Indonesian practice of remitting sentence contrasted with Australian practice of parole for good behaviour
- whether persons sentenced to home detention would be covered
- which Indonesian justice organ will have responsibility for consenting to transfers
These are all good questions, but in general, we should be providing answers, not questions. Regards, Ben Aveling 10:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Proposal to merge
[edit]It has been a year and more since a cleanup tag was put on this article. Little has happened. I would propose that we merge into Schapelle Corby, or, alternatively, delete.--Wehwalt (talk) 13:28, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
- Whoa, hold on. A cleanup tag is not grounds for deletion—if you feel it should be deleted then take it to AfD. The article appears to be well referenced, and, I would have thought, encyclopaedic in its own right. I'll give it a tidy up over the next few weeks. –Moondyne 00:33, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- There is no agreement, it has been two years I think since the AfD. And merge is a form of keep.--Wehwalt (talk) 00:45, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- The result of the discussion was keep, not merge. –Moondyne 00:50, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but the reasoning was that the agreement was in the pipeline. Doesn't seem to be.--Wehwalt (talk) 00:53, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

wehwalt should be commended for his diligence on the corby article. However, this was not a merge but the replacement of a substantial amount of info with a redirect. No apparent attempt was made to "merge" the info into the corby article. It was just removed. And where is the adf???? A cleanup does not mean delete. --Merbabu (talk) 03:35, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Since it is a dead letter, didn't see the point. How about if we add a section to the Corby article with "Attempts to repatriate Corby"? I can start a discussion topic over there as well if you think it helpful.--Wehwalt (talk) 11:49, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- I do propose the matters in "Course of negotiations", slightly edited, be merged into the Corby article and that a redirect be done here to Corby.--Wehwalt (talk) 14:43, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Rename proposal
[edit]Propose rename to: "Australia-Indonesia Prisoner Exchange Agreement Negotiations" as more accurate.--Wehwalt (talk) 03:13, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
