Broadcaster

[edit]

(All the other Country pages for the 08 games are detailing who is broadcasting the event in that country (eg. see France at the 2008 Summer Olympics). In Australia, both Channel 7 and SBS will broadcast the Olympic Games. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs 23:50, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Daily medal total

[edit]

I've just gone and added at table to count up the total number of medals awarded per day. it is placed next to the table of medalists (this is the same usage as on other countries' pages e.g. china and USA). Can someone please go through and check my calculations to make sure the totals are correct. It will be easier to update on an ongoing basis than all at once. thanks, Witty Lama 07:43, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bad numbers?

[edit]

The article says "Australia will compete in 25 of the 28 Olympic program sports" but then lists four sports the team didn't qualify for. Is Australia then competing in 24 of 28 sports? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.148.91.31 (talk) 06:04, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They're actually competing in 26. I've corrected that, and tried to clear it up. The four sports it listed were baseball, handball, football, and volleyball. Baseball and handball are the two sports in which Australia is not competing. The "didn't qualify" references was only for the women's football team (AUS is sending a men's team) and only for the indoor volleyball (AUS has two beach volleyball teams). Hope this helps. -- Jonel (Speak to me) 06:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
