Damage reports

[edit]

The introduction to this article states, "Damage to the nearby Chinese embassy was also reported", without mentioning any source. The Chinese embassy is a good couple of kilometers away and in any case is screened by intervening buildings. There was however damage to the Russian embassy, but I do not have any news reports of this, and my info comes from my own eyesight, which presumably counts as original research. If nobody objects, I will remove the reference to the Chinese embassy in the next day or so. Davidelit 05:43, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Go for it - a small article of reliably referenced info is always better than a long list of unreferenced bs. We must go for quality before quantity anytime. :) --Merbabu 05:48, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reactions

[edit]

We've included the Australian opposition leader's reaction but nothing from Indonesia's president at the time? It did occur in Indonesia after all.--Jeff79 (talk) 06:02, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adding "Jakarta" to title?

[edit]

Anyone object to adding "in Jakarta" to the title? This would keep the title parallel with most other embassy attack articles: List of attacks on diplomatic missions. MatthewVanitas (talk) 04:26, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indonesian project hat on - to help understand context outside of the project - that seems fine - as long as you clean up as well - :) - SatuSuro 04:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I objected to "Jakarta"'s substitution with the word "Australian", but the mover was not one known to listen to others. I like ""2004 Australian Jakarta embassy bombing" but "2004 Australian embassy bombing in Jakarta" seems to be the standard. cheers --Merbabu (talk) 08:19, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a section on arrests and trial of suspects

[edit]

I recently added some information on the arrest and trial of Rois, but I'm wondering if this needs its own section as currently it falls under the 'Investigation' heading. Thoughts? Glebesam (talk) 02:56, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
