How broad are the criteria for what classifies as an "environmental organisation"? While the AEF involves itself in environmental issues, it seems more like a case of 'astro-turfing', "political, advertising, or public relations campaigns that are formally planned by an organization, but designed to mask its origins to create the impression of being spontaneous, popular "grassroots" behavior."

For example, despite claiming to take an evidence-based approach to environmental policy, the group's website gives great play to several thinkers and books that suggest that there is a worldwide conspiracy to make us think global warming is happening.

I think the article itself gives a good representation, but I am unsure whether the categorisation is apt. Drillvoice (talk) 01:55, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
