Perhaps this stub article about a word that's been used in strange religious pamphlets, with no discussion thus far, should be removed? It's hardly enclyclopedic to have an article about a word simple because it was used once or twice.

This is an ambiguity resolution page, not a stub article, so your comment is inapplicable.
I'd like to add though that the concept of autogenesis playa an important role in the theories of Terrance Deacon and I'll add it to the list.--Brian Josephson (talk) 21:06, 24 August 2016 (UTC)

Removal of excessive detail

I'm trimming out some of the excessive detail that has been added to a single entry through some recent edits. This is a disambiguation page, not an article; whatever needs to be said to explain and document these concepts should be said in their respective articles. For reference, the removed content is appended below:

Autogenesis, a concept discussed by Paecht-Horowitz, Terrance Deacon and Csányi and Kampis. It has been related to a kind of thermodynamic synergy that the first living creature may have possessed. The concept has also been used in Viable System Theory describing the nature of viability in complex adaptive systems, and how patterns of existence may be formed and developed. In the context of social systems, this pattern of existence can be expressed in terms of culture and its patterns of knowledge.
