The infobox contains a link to the Honda Odyssey, but there does not appear to be any reason for this. OK, they're both cars, but that's about the only connection. m.e. (talk) 12:57, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some critics (in the internet) said the exterior of e6 is similar to the Odyssey (but no references/sources about e6 is copycar). As you asking, I removed it. --115.67.45.214 (talk) 14:44, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Geneva car salon 2010

[edit]

I attended the Geneva car salon at the journalist days 3rd and 4th March 2010. My most important task was to find out as much as possible about the BYD E6. Here my findings:

There is a charging cabinet rated 400 Volt 100 Ampere three-phase current. According to formula, this means maximal 69 kW for charging. In 10 minutes are theoretical 11,5 kWh transferable. Enough to drive 50km with 120 km/h. The car is with 2295 kg very heavy. I determined the front area with a photo with 2.5m². The air resistance could be lower than at usual cars of this size because no cooler. Maybe 0,3, Rolling resistance 1% assumed. When I assume 90% efficency from battery to wheel, this would be the following consumptions for 100km at constand speed battery to wheel: 60 km/h -> 11 kWh 80 km/h -> 14,1 kWh 100 km/h -> 18 kWh 120 km/h -> 22,9 kWh

Earlier was written 400km range, now 330km range. It could be, that 400 km are in city traffic. Electric cars have in city traffic typical a higher range than outside town. We do not know the capacity of the battery and the method to drive this 330 km. But when we assume constant 100km/h, the battery has to be 3,3 * 18 = 59,4 kWh. --Pege.founder (talk) 13:02, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

When somebody wants some of my photos from the Geneva car salon to improve this article, please contact me, I will upload the wanted photos to Wikipedia. --Pege.founder (talk) 15:15, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Technical data verification

[edit]

It was listed at the Geneva car exhibition with 2295 kg. 48 kWh battery like 9th April listed under data, would mean: 2295kg 2,5 m² front area cw=0,3 (air resistance) rolling resistance 0,8% battery to wheel 90% efficieny, constant 90 km/h for 330 km range. So question, from where are the 48 kWh? I would assume 60 kWh. --Pege.founder (talk) 22:42, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The BYD website (http://www.byd.com/la/auto/e6.html) lists the battery capacity as 61.4 kWh, not 75 kWh. Joewein (talk) 11:38, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in BYD e6

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of BYD e6's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "China2016pax":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 11:48, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
