To an individual interested in the many different types of degrees offered by colleges and schools, this information is quite interesting. While the BSAST is unique, it is notable for that reason. Alternatively, a future employer seeing "BSAST" on a resume when expecting "BS" or "BA" might wonder "wtf is THAT!?" This article attempts to clear up confusion, especially with the popularity of the degree among Navy Nuclear Power Petty Officers.
