Rescue Unit

[edit]

Thanks for the Good faith edit you made on the Rescue service. While I'm sure the unit does great work, the paragraph that was added under "Places of interest" was mis-placed and unencylopedic. No one is going to look up Wikipedia for emergency contact numbers. A paragraph about the service could be added here on the talk page and the article could take a one-liner noting the existence and location of the service. If you need any help in this regard, please just ask! Nelson50T 21:39, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested text for a trimmed-down version
The unit, manned by volunteers, is situated on the Ladies Beach and was founded in 1986. The unit, equipped with a D class inflatable boat and an Atlantic 21 boat, covers the coast and Shannon Estuary from Ballyheigue, Co Kerry to Foynes, Co. Limerick, and inland to Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick.
