Ooh, good stuff! Why Barbados rather than Barbadian, though? Not that it matters given the redirect; I'm just curious. Loganberry (Talk) 16:23, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I was kinda thinking about that myself. When I created the article, I modelled it on the clubs of England - i.e. Worcestershire County Cricket Club - but as these are administered by Associations I found it a bit odd to call the article the Barbados Cricket Association (or whatever it is, I can't remember at the mo). I see that a move is probably in order to get it within standards of all the other national cricket teams (although I pity the person who has to find the correct adjective for Trinidad & Tobago. Personally I'd have plain Trinidad and Tobago cricket team, since we have United States cricket team and New Zealand cricket team. And Barbados, though not usually a "cricketing nation" (I don't know if that's an official term, but you know what I mean) is representative of an independent country - even though the English team isn't! I think this should probably go at Barbadian cricket team, but it doesn't bother me enough that I feel it's an urgent move. Loganberry (Talk) 17:53, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Bah. I like consistency. There you are, it's moved Sam Vimes 19:43, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Consistency we can't have until someone invents a sensible adjective for the USA! (Or unless we go for England cricket team and so on.) Of course, there's also the point that some teams' names have changed: it was just Trinidad until 1962-63, in spite of political union with Tobago having happened in the 19th century!
