Alathea Howard, in 1651, became sole heiress of the baronies of Talbot and Furnival; why not also of the barony of Strange of Blackmere? --85.177.163.18 (talk) 17:12, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

She was also Bss Strange of Blackmere. The title was inherited by the Dukes of Norfolk and has been abeyant since 1777. I'll amend the article. Opera hat (talk) 08:46, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
