Barons of MacDuff section

[edit]

The Barons of MacDuff section is an unreferenced list of non notable barons, do we actually need it? Theroadislong (talk) 14:22, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Theroadislong: Given the discussion is about the history of the barony I think naming the barons, 2 of whom were royal and seven of whom have one or more wikipedia articles about them, is relevant information. I have linked to most of them, because this barony is a lesser known dignity that they held. This expanded the information written about each in their own wikipedia entries. Even though most pages don’t cite the exchanges of dignities, I have done so, and would like the maintenance request for citing references removed. I agree the section could become more meaningful with future contributions, which is always the intent (Grnhrnt35 (talk) 04:11, 16 February 2022 (UTC))[reply]

Mirror site

[edit]

There is a mirror site here https://www.baronyofmacduff.org/history which claims copyright (©2021 by The Baron of Macduff) Theroadislong (talk) 14:26, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Theroadislong: I appreciate your commitment to integrity. As previously discussed, the “mirror” website copied this wikipedia entry before it was moved from main space to drafts for references. It mentioned the wikipedia article, and linked to it. This information was removed because the entry was moved to drafts and the link was dead. I have requested that it be cited again to prevent confusion. (Grnhrnt35 (talk) 04:44, 16 February 2022 (UTC))[reply]
