The link to his site doesn't work anymore.Old m 22:26, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeh, it went down a few weeks after it was found ... I don't think he takes kindly to the swell of RE fans that love his "awful" performance in the original Resident Evil I guess. Parjay 14:48, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think he was the live-action actor who played Barry. From what I heard, they used different actors for the live-action scenes who were actually from a local model agency. Jonny2x4 05:19, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well he is, so you "heard" wrong. When I created this article his Japanese site listed his credit plus he looks exactly the same in his personal photos as in the game. Parjay 12:15, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
First of all. He looks nothing like "Gregory" in the live-action scenes. I know people tend to age and gain weight, but even still I doubt he would change that much in six-ten years. Secondly, Lynn Harris' agent in IMDB claims that the live-action models are different from the voice actors used in the game. I went to the web archive version of Mr. Gjerde's site and he only claims credit for the voice acting, not the live-action scenes. Jonny2x4 19:52, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Are you blind? It's quite OBVIOUSLY him. Same ginger beard as in RE. Same hairline, style. Same face. Same person. Just take a look at his flyer poster on his site. And for the record, Lynn Harris ALSO played the acting role in the original RE. Parjay 20:30, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's not in the Web Archive version. Do you have it yourself? Jonny2x4 01:07, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeh, I'll put it up here for you: http://img453.imageshack.us/img453/4218/8a978876b714b5796bbf65eda1.gif -- Parjay 10:29, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is archived here if you want to add it back in: https://web.archive.org/web/20050209200129/http://www2.gol.com/users/barrygj/index.html Gopherbassist (talk) 03:10, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's definitely him. Not doubt about it. Thanks.

BTW, do you know if the Sergio Jones from the direct to video movie Flesh for the Beast is the same as "Eric" who played Wesker? Jonny2x4 06:06, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yup Sergio is the same guy; I had to rent that piece of crap a good while back to confirm it -_- Parjay 13:30, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nice! One last thing. Who was "Jason" (the actor who played Joseph) and who did the voices for Richard, Brad and Enrico Jonny2x4 17:47, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately no idea, never been able to track down any info on those guys. Parjay 19:00, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh well. How about the Resident Evil Zero cast? I'm more interested in knowing who did the voice of Rebecca (and others) in that game. I know Lyon Smith did the Young Marcus' voice (he used the very same voice for a Sailor Moon character) and Richard Waugh as Wesker, but other than that, no one is attributed to their roles in the credits. Jonny2x4 21:20, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jason is a nobody. A lot of FMV actors during the 90s were picked off the street. Nearly all of the voice actors in the game were probably nobodies. And by the way genius, Lynn Harris did NOT do voice work for Resident Evil. IMDB is unreliable.

Barry said in his homepage that he only did the VOICE of Barry Burton. He did not do the live action scenes.

The archived profile seems to have gone down as well. If anyone saved the information as a text document or otherwise now would be the opportune time to restore it. I'm particularly interested in his exact credits for Soul Edge/Blade and Virtua Fighter 4 and if he did anyone in F-Zero GX Brgenesis64 (talk) 18:02, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

I don't agree that it should be deleted. If anything it does, under the "criteria for speedy deletion" adhere to "Limited content is not in itself a reason to delete if there is enough context for the article to qualify as a valid stub." It should be labelled a stub article, deletion isn't the answer: "A stub is an article that is too short to provide encyclopaedic coverage of the subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information." As state, short it may be, it has useful information about this voice actor, including profession, birth name, date of birth, and location of birth, and most popular acting credit. Parjay 13:43, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"He also did the voice of a character in the game Clock Tower." What was this voice? Also, I don't know how to add to the other parts. Just leave this here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.217.226.231 (talk) 02:19, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
