Page rename

[edit]

I want to rename the page to Cringer. and then hae the page follow the same format as Spirit. Discussing how Cringer is turned into Battle Cat by the power of the Sword.--NeilEvans 15:49, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Character, Battle Cat originally existed without an alter-ego (Cringer). I think "Battle Cat" is more recognizable and better suited to be the title, where as "Cringer" seems more trivial. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.146.113.17 (talk) 10:48, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

I was watching the show, and noticed something interesting; when Cringer was once again criticizing his inevitable transformation, he used some ill word of Battle Cat, implying that he doesn't hate the transformation so much as his alter ego, which I think is rather significant difference. --Takeshi357 21:53, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Species

[edit]

I happened to be watching an episode of "He-Man" titled "A Beastly Sideshow" and noticed Cringer is referred to specifically as "Prince Adam's tiger". I think the phrase "His species is never given an explicit name" in the article is mistaken. However, I have seen about 2.5 episodes of "He-Man" in my life, so I'll leave the correction to others if they think it's required. --Mujokan (talk) 06:27, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced material

[edit]

The following is unsourced information:

  • The Battle Cat toy was sold as a set, with a basic He-Man figure, more or less identical to the 1982 He Man figure.
  • Battle Cat has a rival of sorts, Panthor, a large purple panther-like cat that is Skeletor's equivalent to Battle Cat. Unlike Battle Cat, Panthor does not seem to be able to speak, nor does he have an alternate identity.
  • The classic Battle Cat toy was a smooth green plastic, whereas Panthor had a purple velvet-like coating.
    • That velevet-like coating is called flocking

While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. Also, none of this is really trivia, as trivia by its definition is "unimportant information" - it therefore shouldn't be in a trivia section but instead the information should be incorporated into the main article. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 08:30, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd always imagined Panthor as a manifestation of Spikor. Where's the template to cite childhood fantasies? InedibleHulk (talk) 06:54, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No teeth of its own

[edit]
  • Since when did Battle Cat's helmet have teeth? The original 1980s version had a beak of sorts but it left the cat's mouth free and clear, and had no teeth just a cheek boss and jowl protectors, but no teeth of its own. I call BS on that and am taking it out.Sochwa (talk) 02:45, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
