How many Mexicans?
[edit]The introduction says 100,000, but the article body says 80,000. howcheng {chat} 21:53, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Two of the Spanish ELs give vague 100,000 figures. I've taken the best one and added as a reference, and deleted contradiction tag.--S. Rich (talk) 22:18, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Map used is apparently upside-down
[edit]A study by Mexican geographer Alma Rosa Bárcenas, published in the first isue of “Geografía”, published by INEGI in Mexico City in 1986, cleared up the confusion surrounding the exact site of the battle, and how it related to the map as originally drawn. It showed conclusively that the map is actually upside-down! See, for example, "The map of one of Mexico’s most famous battles is upside down" at http://geo-mexico.com/?p=452[1].Ladysmith204600 (talk) 22:29, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Ladysmith204600 (talk) 22:33, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
