Casualty count
[edit]According to the 1886 published account from Bancroft, 4 US marines died in immediate action, and an additional 10 died later of their wounds...all were buried on Snake Island, now called Terminal Island. This total count brings the American fatalities for this battle to 14 (fourteen) DonDeigo 17:21, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
According to the Bancroft reference shown below on page 320, the dead were buried on Isla del Muertos, which was known as Deadman's Island. So I added that fact, as well as two relevant sources on the battle: that of Bancroft and another by Dale Walker called Bear Flag Rising. I don't know where the fact about the men being buried on Snake Island came from. Bartam (talk) 03:14, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Map of the Dominguez Ranch
[edit]A better map might be provided - as Nevada, San Diego and other locations are not mentioned in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.183.224.2 (talk) 23:26, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
