Gulf of Mexico

[edit]

Could an engagement involving the sinking of a German U-boat off Louisiana be included in this article? The Louisana Coast is far from the Caribbean Sea but engagements in the Mexican Gulf off Key West, Florida have been included. Just want to hear someone elses thoughts before I include the Louisiana engagement in this article. Please respond someone, thanks.--Az81964444 (talk) 02:32, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Wolfgang listed?

[edit]

I looked at his article, and there is no mention of his service during WW2. And he wasn't president of Venezuela* until the 50s. Should no one object, Ill likely change it to whoever the president of Venezeula* was at the time. awhahoo (talk) 13:45, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Correction has been made. awhahoo (talk) 15:46, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if your correction is correct. The list gives the top Navy commanders, not political leaders. Isaías Medina Angarita was clearly a political leader but I agree with you that Wolfgang Larrazábal was also not a top Navy commander. Unfortunately, I have no clue who was the commander. Ohh, I see. Didn´t realize that, thanks. Alas, I don´t know who the top naval commander was at the time either. awhahoo (talk) 18:42, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
