I don't understand the argument for charging a beach access fee. Maybe this section could be improved. Here in Florida we've got far more beaches than NJ and have tourists using our beaches year round, but we do not charge a fee to offset for upkeep. I don't understand why other states are able to survive the "curse" of visitor traffic (who "hurt" a community be bringing in sales tax dollars (sarcasm)). I especially don't understand the "fair" comment-- did people moving to Jersey's beaches not realize there was a beach down the road? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.203.107.70 (talk) 23:02, February 22, 2009
