"Preved", a made up word that combines the Russian word "privet" (translated as "hello" or "hi") and "medved" (translated as "bear").

Although an interesting point of view, "preved" is also a typical padonki slang spelling (also known as "Albanian language" - Russian spelling with Latin letters). It consists mainly in switching the unvoiced consonants with it's voiced counterpart. Another procedure is to change unstressed "i" and "a" to "e" and "o" respectively. --Luckib (talk) 14:39, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date

[edit]

I want to put the date of creation in the first sentence. Lurie's website, where eight prints are available, states "All works copyright 2006". But I think this painting is earlier? --66.92.141.126 (talk) 17:47, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

This article is basically the same as Preved. They should be merged. Bsimmons666 (talk) 19:53, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
