References

[edit]

I am somewhat surprised that more references are needed here - have a closer look or be more specific and I will do the necessary. Rosser1954

I think it may be the form of the references (which are non-standard for WP) rather than the refs themselves.
Check out the appropriate WP help page for more...

I see several issues with the referencing.
The short notes mostly have surname only - per WP:CITESHORT they should also have page numbers, and preferably the relevant publication year as well.
Some of the "Sources" are shown as "oral communication" - this fails WP:V and may also fail WP:NOR.
We have two lists of books - one headed "Sources", the other "Bibliography". Should the "Bibliography" section really be "Further reading", see MOS:APPENDIX? --Redrose64 (talk) 13:01, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment

[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore Railway/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

While there are several references listed at the end of the article, the article needs inline citations in order to move up to GA quality. Slambo (Speak) 18:42, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
