After knocking the Deputy out, the wife of Rev. Smalls appears in the doorway with a gun, threatning to kill Gus and Charlie, and they soon find out that it was her who shot Reverend Smalls and the man they had killed was a secret lover of hers. They were planning to run away together with 2 million dollars accumulated by the Reverand through his perverse films. As she is about to shoot Gus, their female accomplice rushes through the door and impales Mrs. Smalls with an ax, and she dies. This whole episode occurs in front of the deputy, who had awaken from the blow to the head. They end up handcuffing the deputy, who also dies after falling off a windowsill.

Is this the one where...

That woman is about to shoot the guys, then gets axed in the head and sits down calmly, saying, "Well I'll be. I haven't heard Pink Floyd in years..."--Editor510 drop us a line, mate 09:21, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is.

Song?

[edit]

What's the name of the song that plays IMMEDIATELY after Gus is shot? I've been looking for it everywhere.

Concentrated Thallium

[edit]

When Charlie said What did Hymes say you used? and Josie answers Concentrated Thallium. Charlie seems to think about it for a moment and the accepts the poison without any further resistance. I believe that Charlie is not dead. In fact, thallium poisoning is chronically lethal without antidote, which is Prussian blue. It's a common blue paint as in a blue painting brush appeared on his daughter's hand in the end of the movie. Another reason that I made this deduction is that the lethalness of thallium is its ability to concentrate acetylcholine at a high level to cause neural damage and other organ failing, however, as mentioned before in the movie, Charlie was losing this substance so thallium poisoning would not be lethal at his circumstance.
