19th century feudal battles?

[edit]

This quote was recently added to the article:

It has recently been determined by the Blackstone River Valley Historical Society that in the late 1850's to the early 1920's French and Irish immigrants were feudal rivals and would often have war-like brawls at the area known as The Five Points. It is still unknown how many battles were fought and how many people died from them. (Blackstone River Valley Historical Society document c-975 article b. released 12 October, 2010.)

Can anyone confirm what sort of document was used as a source for this? I don't understand the citation. Was this a published work? Can it be retrieved from a library? etc. —Tim Pierce (talk) 16:45, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I too am wondering where this came from. I live in this town and I only heard about this once I took a look at this page. I did notice they put "Five Points" when the actual location is called the "Five Corners". I think someone might just be pulling our legs here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Youdontevenknow (talkcontribs) 16:45, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
