Move to Bleach: The Movie

[edit]

I considered moving this page to Bleach: The Movie because that is the proper formatting of subtitles. However it is still not certain that "The Movie" was actually meant as the subtitle, so I'll leave it as it is for now. – Gunslinger47 16:32, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is resolved. The movie is called Bleach: Memories of Nobody. –Gunslinger47 01:41, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually the title has げきじょうばん at the beginning. In other words, it's really more like Bleach, the Movie: Memories of Nobody. Dekimasu 01:49, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah "劇場版", or genkijo-ban (theatrical version). I don't believe that's actually meant to be part of the title.
It would be the same as saying "The movie, Bleach: Memories of Nobody". –Gunslinger47 01:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Toho's entry

[edit]

It looks like this might have some useful information, but Babelfish doesn't give me a good translation. http://www.toho.co.jp/lineup/bleach/Gunslinger47 03:02, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

I've grabbed a new poster image from the official site (or rather a few images and stitched them together. I still don't know why they do that...) uploaded it and added it to the page, as it looks better than the one that was there. This one isn't all streached out, so it looks much better. Radda 03:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well done. There wasn't much selection when I uploaded the older one. I'll have the old poster deleted. As for why they split the picture up, it's an attempt to make hotlinking their image more difficult as you can no longer steal their bandwidth simply with a single IMG tag. –Gunslinger47 19:40, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Plot translation

[edit]

Could someone go to http://www.bleach-movie.com/, click on the "story" section and translate the new plot details that they just posted? There are four pages of plot, supposedly. I'd like to see that information in the article. –Gunslinger47 03:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contacting me about it, but I think you might want to contact a user fluent in Japanese like User:Kasuga. It would take me quite a long time to read several page of Japanese text (and I don't have the time at the moment). -- Ynhockey (Talk) 07:29, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 05:13, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The official homepage has been updated to include the trailer that this entry had linked to, thus the situation has resolved itself for this instance, at least. However, I will continue to link to pertinent YouTube (or otherwise) hosted clips or promotional material for demonstrative purposes in the future if I feel that it falls under fair-use. –Gunslinger47 00:25, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Canon or not

[edit]

Is the movie consistent with the Bleach story. I know the anime has included the Bount arc as offical unlike the Naruto fillers. But I've heard from a totally unreliable source that this movie happens right after they save Rukia and return to the human world, which is when the Bount story takes place.--Noman953

What do you mean by official? In terms of the anime, I think the movie will either retcon the Bount arc or exist as a "parallel universe" occurrence. As for the manga, neither the movie or the Bount arc are canon but the movie is "slightly" more canon because Kubo actually had a part in its writing unlike the Bount arc which only carries his name but obviously does not carry his creativity. Gdo01 00:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I believe you misheard your sources. This movie is set after they save Rukia and return to the human world, that does not necessarily mean that it's meant to fit within the continuity of the manga or the anime. That said, the sources we have now do say that Tite Kubo is writing the story for the film.Gunslinger47 08:01, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rukia's shikai

[edit]

The same clip of Rukia's shikai has shown up this week in a tv spot for Memories of Nobody. It seems that it is now practically confirmed that the movie will be Sode no Shirayuki's debut. No definitive proof will occur until the movie comes out but for now it seems pretty certain that it is in the movie. Gdo01 02:39, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I edited the footnote accordingly. –Gunslinger47 05:34, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, anyway, just in case proof is needed, see here. Gdo01 10:59, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The OVA's

[edit]

Why is there no information about the two Bleach OVA's named Memories in the Rain and the Sealed Sword Frenzy. Especially the last is a great OVA.

Core4Sure —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.145.149.85 (talk) 15:46, 6 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Because they aren't Bleach:Memories of Nobody? We have a little info on the second OVA, iirc. It's just not in this article. --tjstrf talk 08:28, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This might be a better question to ask on the core Bleach talk page. –Gunslinger47 01:05, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bleach: Memories of Nobody DVD

[edit]

Does anyone know when this movie is coming out on DVD in any region? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Burntpsilocybin (talkcontribs) 21:01, 11 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

If it takes as long as it did for Naruto the Movie 3 to make the transition, you're not going to see it on DVD until around next September. –Gunslinger47 01:57, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The region 2 DVD has been released already. Dekimasuよ! 03:12, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i dont know why youd say its better for the core bleach talk page. by the way, anyone have knowledge of a region 1 release? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.92.11.49 (talk) 06:12, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy over the denoument

[edit]

Call me crazy, but I disagree with the resolution that the editor of the main information page wrote down. Mid-way through the movie, Senna states that she believes that souls should have their last memory be a happy one. In the final moments, I believe Ichigo lies to her about her name being on the gravestone for a number of reasons. One being that he rememebred that she believed souls should have their last memory be a happy one, and two being that her name was not on the graveyard stone. Senna said herself that her name should be on the headstone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Irsashimi (talkcontribs) 03:55, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Senna

[edit]

Does no-one else find it odd that one of the main characters (or at least entities) of the film, Senna, has no article for herself? Admittedly there isn't that much information to go on but surely she's worth of a page... -81.109.180.221 (talk) 17:15, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just because she's a main character doesn't mean she's notable. There's been a lot of discussion about this sort of thing on the List of Bleach characters talk page lately. WP:FICT has some good info on this kind of thing too. --Eruhildo (talk) 01:36, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

cost

[edit]

Anybody know what the budget and revenue is? 165.199.5.191 16:47, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image disappeared!

[edit]

I've scanned this talk page rather thoroughly, but I couldn't find a bot post that usually occurs before an image is deleted. Ne? Did someone take out the image, or was it bot-deleted? I'll look around and check. Or is it just my computer?IceUnshattered (talk) 00:11, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image Bleachposter.jpg was deleted 18:15, February 9, 2008 for CSD I6. It's quite possible that a bot never touched it as it apparently met the speedy requirements. --Eruhildo (talk) 21:58, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, probably a result of when an admin blocked BetacommandBot indef pending fixing by Betacommand. The problem seems to have been resolved. Sasuke9031 (talk) 06:50, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Voices

[edit]

Sorry to bring this up. I just wanted to know, what with the movie coming out in June and all, do they have voices lined up for the movie-only characters already? (If so, then please tell me that Kari Wahlgren is in the movie) :) Sirius85 (talk) 20:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Official Theatrical Release for Memories of Nobody

[edit]

It will be in theater for two nights, June 21 and 22. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ddog892 (talkcontribs) 11:58, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's not really a "theatrical release". It's a broadcast to theaters by Fathom. Here's the event info.[1]. It's not on film; it's projected digitally through the advertising projector. Looked like 1080p. Movie was OK, but not Miyazaki-grade work. About at the Urusei Yatsura level, but without the irony. --John Nagle (talk) 19:12, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Critic Review?

[edit]

Do we have a critic review on this movie? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bill114 (talkcontribs) 13:14, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Book?

[edit]

Can anyone tell if this book is a novelisation or some kind of art book? -Malkinann (talk) 11:11, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like it's an actual novel. The word for novel (小説, shōsetsu) is used in the section on it in the Japanese article. --Eruhildo (talk) 03:50, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just Curious...

Has any explanation been given

[edit]

For the name Senna? I mean, if she's an amalgamation of peoples' memories, where did her appearance and name come from? Was there ever a real person with that name and/or face? Is there some significance to the name itself? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.70.113 (talk) 05:56, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Soundtrack

[edit]

Track 07 - Senna - of the BLEACH THE MOVIE: MEMORIES OF NOBODY Original Soundtrack, it is VERY familiar to me. Is it taken from Bach? I'm not much of a connoisseur of Bach, but it seems like this is derived from his Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565. Does anyone actually know anything on the subject?--... there's more than what can be linked. 11:04, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
