Recruiting
[edit]While Rivals may have Beasly as the top player for 2007, many others have Mayo, therefore I don't believe that specific rankings should be used. Its fine to generalize (Beasly as a top 10 player for instance). Also, in case anyone wants to add Huggins going after OJ again, he's signed his LOI to USC, so that window has closed. West Virginia
[edit]Should he really be described as "the head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers men's basketball team" when he is not officially. The cited source for this information says "according to a source" and "officially announced Friday." I don't believe it's Wikipedia's job to stretch it anything beyond that. I think it is DEFINITELY a very important topic in this article, but I don't think we can really say that he is the head coach. Schreineradam 21:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)schreineradam
- No I think it's a pretty done deal. According to the Kansas State athletics website, it says he is leaving to become the head coach at WVU. There are several direct quotes from him stating that is the reason for his resignation. --ScottyBoy900Q 04:36, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Semi-protection?
[edit]If the anonymous vandalism keeps up at this rate, we're going to need a brief cooling-down period here... (ESkog)(Talk) 23:16, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Probably a good idea.<>Epsoul 00:24, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

After the recent rash of vandal edits, very libelous content, I requested a temp simi-protection, might need to go to perm simi-protection if it continues.. — raeky (talk | edits) 21:37, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
Neutrality Challenge
[edit]I am removing the challenge since it really has no basis and there is no explanation for it on here. I see no bias and the article reads very neutrally. Diesel6855 (talk) 08:22, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Good article. In the "Career at Cincinnati" section, it says the Bearcats had been relugated to NIT status, rather than relegated.
I would change it, but editing is closed, probably due to angry K-State fans venting their frustrations. I don't blame them. This article is hopelessly biased in Huggin's favor, and should be modified. Footnote #9 does not exist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.252.179.21 (talk) 21:57, 2 May 2008 (UTC) |

Annual Salary
[edit]The other day I looked at his listed annual salary on the page, which was oddly said to be $1. But when I searched it up, I saw that he had signed a $4,150,000 per year contract for the mountaineers, but a little while after changing it from $1 to the $4,150,000, it was changed back to $1. Is there something that I don't know about where he actually is only being paid a dollar a year or is it just some sort of WVU joke? King Gizz (talk) 15:36, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- Just vandalism. All the changes to $1 have been made by the same IP (now blocked). Bishonen | tålk 16:55, 17 March 2023 (UTC).
- I noticed that. I was trying to figure out how to notify an admin to block said IP. King Gizz (talk) 18:08, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how, but that IP has continued vandalizing. Just letting you know. King Gizz (talk) 17:36, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
Very long sections mostly not about the coach
[edit]Many of the sections about Huggins's coaching career contain mostly information about the games that the team played, without mentioning the coach's involvement or influence. In addition, some sections have few to no sources. These sections need to be slimmed down significantly to focus on the coach's important contributions and achievements, backed up by sources.
