Launch date
[edit]Launched in November 2011 or April 2014? I see conflicting dates in the lead vs infobox.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:44, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
Library access
[edit]Would somebody with library access to the Leeds Mercury be kind enough to send me a copy of page 8 (or column 4 of that page, containing BDMs) of the Saturday, 18 August 1849 edition? Apparently, one can find the wedding of William Henry Colbeck on that page. Schwede66 18:00, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- On Thursday week ....
- Same day, at Halifax, Mr Wm. Henry Colbeck, manufacturer, Batley, to Martha, daughter of Mr. John Cordingley, Boothtown, near the former place.

Digitised resources aren't actually free to use from within the British Library
[edit]https://www.bl.uk/collection-guides/british-newspaper-archive What is available in our Reading Rooms? The British Newspaper Archive can be used for free at the British Library’s Reading Rooms in St Pancras and Boston Spa. It is a priced service online but it is free to search. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.205.58.146 (talk) 14:52, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- I think you've misunderstood your source. BNA is an online resource which is free to anyone, anywhere to search, but the results are limited to brief extracts (often highly garbled, owing to OCR errors). In order to see the full digitized page images, you need to pay a subscription. However, registered BL readers working in the BL reading rooms do get free access to the full images. There is no error. GrindtXX (talk) 20:53, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
Access to the Archive
[edit]Not strictly a subject for the talk page (sorry!), but I hold an annual subscription to the BNA ... so if anybody needs any articles or information to improve Wikipedia articles, drop a note on my talk page. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 18:56, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
