Is Ludwigia helminthorrhiza just a mistake?
[edit]Not only could I not find a cite for Ludwigia helminthorrhiza being called "bushy seedbox", I couldn't find it being called "seedbox" of any kind anywhere but wikipedia. Kingdon 21:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
After a detailed search, i can also not find any solid source where L. helminthorrhiza is called bushy seedbox or rattlebox.
- i presume [[1]] is taken from wikipedia itself.
- this [[2]] source (german) calls L. h. the Schwimmende Ludwigie = swimming ludwigia as a common name
- http://idtools.org/id/appw/Aquarium_&_Pond_Plants_of_the_World/key/Aquarium_&_Pond_Plants/Media/Images/ludwigia-helminthorrhiza_lge.jpg is a nice drawing for it but the source is a bit difficult to track down
- also the Taxonomy Browser contains no official alternative names: [[3]]
- nor here [[4]]
- and also under all the synonyms [[5]] and [[6]] there is no reference to bushy seedbox
